What do the lights on my Philips Series X5000 shaver mean?

Published on 14 October 2025

The battery indicator and the light ring on your Philips X5000 Series shaver provide important usage information.

Note: this article is only for the Philips X5000 Series shaver. Refer to the relevant article for your shaver if yours differs from the information below.

Battery charge indicator

The battery charge indicator shows the battery status.

When the battery charge indicator flashes orange, the battery is low or empty.

When the battery charge indicator flashes white, the battery is charging.

When the white light flashes rapidly, this means that the shaver cannot be used when connected to a power source. Disconnect your shaver from the power source before switching it on.

When the white light of the battery charge indicator is on continuously, this means that the shaver is fully charged. The light will turn off automatically after 30 minutes.
