Screeneo UL5 SmartHome Projector

I've got lots of projectors but my fantastic screeneo is very good 😁😁😁 😁 Fantastic.. 23 & half" is getting me 116" screen.. 😁😁😁 Its got good apps should you require them.. But i only used the mirroring app.. Itvx BBC's iplayer. Coz don't have broadband or fiber. I'm using my AVI to HDMI converter { of eBay about a fiver } coz my HDMI is going to my Onko surround sound Still getting a Great picture though.. Remotes realitivly easy to get into.. using my tripod for the moment Please borrow a Projector or get cheap one of eBay..see for your self... Screeneo tick's all the boxes for me nice neutral colour good

Frankly, the Screeneo UL5 surpassed all my expectations and would easily be 5 stars. Quality of setup/projection… everything was great. Only exception was the magic wand use for set up/navigation of Netflix. It is not intuitive and so it took a moment or two. Would be better to link to an App to navigate such if possible.

Underwhelming to be honest. Disappointed with how it never connects to ARC sound straight away. Quality of picture quickly disintegrates when expanded to 100 inch Certainly overpriced even buying from indiegogo

I gave 1 Out of 5 Stars cause I can not give 0 star.. Don't buy this.. Have been looking for Firmware update but nothing get better after all.. Just stupid..

I bought this projector through a crowdfunding campaign that Philips ran on Indiegogo in the summer’24. What can I say about this piece of… technological failure? This is truly the worst thing I have ever bought in every possible aspect. It’s not bright enough, the sound has huge issues (which Philips partially fixed after a couple of months with a software update but connecting any Bluetooth speaker is still a nightmare. The audio in my AirPods is extremely low, and the built-in speaker, mildly speaking, leaves much to be desired. None of the apps I use, such as Apple TV, Amazon, Disney+, and Netflix, work correctly. For instance, the Disney+ menu is completely invisible, so you can't scroll the screen to choose the next episode of the show you watch. Netflix runs terribly because it’s not a native app, making it a constant struggle to use. The picture quality on Apple TV is always so dim that watching anything on this thing is impossible. The Streamcast app either lags nonstop or simply refuses to connect to any device, whether Apple or Android. Game mode is another disaster. Every time you plug in a console, it shifts the screen position, forcing you to manually readjust the picture angles before playing. But when you switch back to normal mode to watch movies or YouTube, the orientation changes again. Total nightmare. Speaking of YouTube, it freezes and lags every 15–20 minutes. You could argue that most of these issues are software-related – which Philips stopped updating a few months ago – but what about the actual picture quality? Well, that’s terrible too. There’s an overwhelming amount of red, which you can theoretically adjust, but the overall color balance is still far from natural. There are also weird “soap traces” that appear in every scene with a lot of daylight or white backgrounds. And it’s not just me. Plenty of other people who ordered this projector on Indiegogo have reported similar issues. Just Google the campaign, and you’ll find countless complaints from backers who were deceived into supporting this overpriced piece of plastic. Sorry, but in my opinion, this was nothing short of a scam under the name of a major company. I’ve owned a few projectors before and have a good sense of what’s available on the market. There are plenty of other projectors, maybe not short-throw, but of MUCH better quality, costing half the price of this one. Shame on you, Philips, for releasing this piece of junk and not even bothering to fix the OS issues.
