Shaver series 5000Wet & Dry electric shaver

My previous Philips shaver was brilliant for many years until my son lost the charging cable and I just went and bought a shaver from an alternate brand! What a mistake - poor shave, the clipper part fell off when I hadn't owned it for long. And the shave got worse in no time at all. I have to assume the blades got blunt or something. So time it was to buy another shaver and given my prior experience there was no question it would be another Philips. And not disappointed at all - completely the opposite. Great shave and close, definitely speeding up my morning routine. No fun shaving with a blunt shaver I can tell you!

My first Philips razor was 2nd hand, bought at a church fête in 1957 and since then I have mainly stayed with the Brand. This 5000 was a good choice, with solid feel, and it cuts speedily without the need to shave slowly which can be the case with some budget priced razors enticing though the ads may be. It rinses easily under the tap, the cutters last longer than non rotaries & the incorporated sideboards cutter is handy. Very pleased with this razor - which is exceptionally quiet, too.

This is an excellent shaver for the price. It takes about a week to adjust to produce the best shave. Easy to clean and the battery lasts well with a fast charging time.

Excellent service all round, I purchased a much dearer model but it was on half price and it was worth the extra money all day, I get an excellent shave from an electric shaver just as I did with a wet shave, well done Phillips. Keep up the good work .

I’ve tried a few and this is the best shave for wet and dry. The flex action of the heads keeps contact with every nook and cranny of my face

For the discounted price I paid it was good value for the money at full price I would not have purchased. The he shave is very close shave quick charging. Very pleased

My old electric razor broke after about 20 years of use so I chose another Phillips. Shaves close and lasts a reasonable time between charges. Good all round product.

after using razor for years, i purchased this shaver and its easy to use whether wet or dry.
