Shaver series 5000Wet and dry electric shaver

It works great - after struggling to get a good shave - it is great

even on several day old stubble proved effective gives a close smooth shave without razor burn highly recommend

I have always thought Philips product were good way back to the 1940s when I was great friends with one of the later CEO's sons. This must be my 4th or 5th Philips razor I have had one of the 1st I had to plug in to the electric socket and at that time those were not allowed in the bathroom I know some men only like blade shavers they think they give a better shave this one gives a great shave

I have never used an electric razor before and this one is just a gem. Not quite as close a shave as a safety razor but close enough not to worry. If I have one criticism it is the on/off switch which is in the wrong place. You are inclined to push it while shaving. Otherwise a great little razor. Well priced and easy to use.

Been using the shaver for a couple of weeks and the shave has steadily got better. I much prefer the detachable moving head as it appears to give me a closer shave than the Aquatec Wet and Dry that I have been using for a few years now.

I was given my first phili shave when I was at boarding school. It lasted for about 35 years and gave reliable service. My next phili shaver has been a reliable friend for me until it gave up the ghost just before my 72nd birthday. This new phili shaver is a flash rechargeable wet and dry. It has the smoothest shave ever and I love it! I just hope that I can write a review in 35 years time.

I cannot fault this shaver as far as doing the job it is designed to do, it provides a smooth shave quickly and efficiently. However for me find removing blades a bit fiddly having to disconnect each one individually. Start button position is not what I was used to on previous models and also not recessed so I keep accidently switching it off while shaving. Otherwise great shaver.

I have used Philips shavers from their very beginning and they have only got better and better. This shaver, wet or dry is easy to use and gives a great result. Super easy to clean.
