Shaver series 9000 SensoTouchWet & dry electric shaver

Have given this razor a few weeks trail and can say it passed very well. would buy another.

I am very pleased with the performance of this shaver and its reliability, BUT I am very annoyed and frustrated that I cannot now obtain original replacement shaver heads, as production of them has ceased and there are only some very poor copies available online. This means I either have to put up with these very poor quality heads, or buy a new, current model shaver at a cost of £200-£300+ for a unit of similar quality ! A prime example of built in obsolescence !!

I have used this shaver for 4 years. An excellent tool which deals with tough hair.Easy to clean and waterproof.

This excellent product is unfortunately diminished by the "flimsy" nature of the plastic securing ring for the shaver head rotators. A slight miss in re-alignment ends up with the retaining ring becoming non-functional.

Had this shaver yesterday and its miles better than my previous competitor brand foil shaver. I have used philips products for years- avent for my kids, sonicares for my wife and myself so thought why not give rotary shavers a go- and what can I say but this is another brilliant product from Philips! I prefer a wet shave so I lathered my face with shaving cream and 3 minutes later had a baby smooth face- no razor burn, perfect on the neck and no irritation whatsoever. The only gripe I had with this product is that corded use wasn't possible as the shaver has to be plugged into the stand and this stand needs to be carried when away on holiday! But thats a small annoyance I can live with given the excellent results! I cant imagine ever going back to using anything else and cant wait to experience what Philips' next gen shavers are going to look like- but judging by this product alone the future definitely looks bright. Well done again Philips!

As the summery states it is the best electric shave I have ever had, having owned some fifteen shavers or so this is the second 3D and brilliant, worth paying the little extra, well done Philips

Moving up from my trusty HS8420 was a difficult decision, but after many years and a failed battery I needed something. A great deal from a high street retailer and I have the next generation. Been doing this for 37+ years and once again I wish I'd upgraded sooner. I did try it dry, but mid shave I went back to wet and using my existing supply of Nivea sensitive cream. I did try the Nivea gel in a can, but as this ends up as a foam, which I hate, I went back to the cream. The combination is simply amazing. As for the jet wash, I'm sure this is needed daily for foam users. However, for me and the Nivea cream once a week is more than enough in the jet wash to get it brand new and dry. Rinsing under hot water is enough each day, leaving the weekend to jet clean and recharge. Simply an amazing product, once again from Philips...

Very effective, very comfortable, fast and easy to use. Cleaning system is really helpful, even after normal brushing and rinsing.

I like the performance of the razor BUT it came with a plastic cap to protect the fragile blades/cutters. The design of this VERY POOR because after a short time the pieces of plastic which clip the cover to the razor heads have simply broken away. It means that the protector does not work. I have now bought 3 spares and the same problem has occurred with all of them. BAD DESIGN & MATERIALS for this protector. I did not expect such a poor product from Phillips.
