We wanted bagless and lots of suction and we happily got that. It was a great price at Farmer's and we are very happy with the way the attachments are organized. The machine is light and easy to move around. Having a brush right on the handle so accessible while vacuuming is very convenient. The only downside is how often we need to clean the filter - not only empty the accumulated dust (which is easy) but we have to "beat" the foam-like filter against a hard surface to get all the dust out of the filter in order to maintain the excellent suction. Once we realized this, no other problems. However, if you have to do a lot of floors (we don't) it may not be for you because the switch to floor-mode does not remain depressed.

Good vacuum and has done very well for us. Even with pets and children. Only downfall is the handle i think. not sturdy enough and has already broken on us!

Amazing results for home cleaning. We use it to clean our carpets/sofa every other weekend and it works amazing. Easy to clean too !!

I loved our last Philips vacuum cleaner -- it had great suction until the dust canister was full, the cord reached right round the house, and I could vacuum in the same room as my young children with no issues. This one also has great suction -- until you suck up a bit of paper or a tissue, which blocks the orange grate and severely compromises suction. The inside filters also must be cleaned *at least* every other time I empty the dust canister or the suction goes very low. Of even greater inconvenience is the fact that the noise it emits is upsetting to my youngest children. My toddler and 7-month-old both wake up and/or cry when I turn the vacuum on, even a room or two away. This has happened every single time in the month or two we've owned it so it's no coincidence. This vacuum cleaner would have met our needs perfectly before we had kids but isn't proving to be at all suitable now.

Easy portable and light. The down fall is after a year and a half of light work the suction control setting doesn't work and the power cuts out multiple times. Maybe just bought a dodgy one but shouldn't have to buy another vaccum a year and a half later :(

It’s a good vacuum I've had it just on 12 months. Now I need to find a replacement filter. Problem is no one stocks them. I've been to 4 stores today and I cannot locate the replacement filters. The customer service staff all say they cannot be sourced. Don't by this machine. I’ll never by another from Phillips because I can't get replacement filters.
