Each time an App gets updated the entire Android TV slows down and this is reflected in a slow remote response or laggy Apps. Also when plugging in an external hard drive to enable recording it can stop the TV from turning on. Also do expect the Phone Remote App to work - it doesn't find the TV

Been using philips tv since 10 years ago.. and repeat purchase of the same brand.. but for this model i experience abit of lagging on certain video, hopefully philips will come out with an update to rectify this issue.. but overall tv really awesome..

Although the picture quality is great, I am constantly in battle with the user interface of the TV being very slow, buggy and unresponsive. Some problems include being kicked out of Netflix, the TV completely freezing while navigating and the only solution to resolve this is to power the unit off by the wall. This problem is very frequent.

DO NOT BUY THIS TV. It's nothing but a poorly designed spying and ad delivery device. It cannot read anything but FAT32 drives, limiting you to tiny drives and files smaller than 4GB. The software does NOTHING to improve the user experience and will smother movies/shows you can freely access with your subscription services in endless ads for movies you have to pay for. My $500 8 year old Hisense TV beats this TV in every regard bar picture quality at 4k.

Was always a very difficult to use “smart” TV. Just trying to access my foxtel account & UFC fight pass alone, I was never able to do and had to open it up on my laptop and watch foxtel and UFC fight pass through my laptop plugged in to the TV through an HDMI cable. As much as I liked the Ambilight feature, this television was not worth the money I paid for it & the screen died completely about three weeks ago after only two years of having it and because it only came with a 12mth warranty even if it was within warranty, I would definitely not want a replacement of this TV! So I had to get it taken away and destroyed and buy another television so the fact that I’ve spent over $2000 in two years on two TVs (& I’m a pensioner!) because the first one being this one was never that great to begin with, the sound quality of the tv speakers was terrible so I had to buy some external speakers to plug-in to get decent sound, and the ease-of-use was not easy at all, and I couldn’t access some features which you would expect in a smart TV. So it’s now dead and gone to TV heaven at only just two years old and I’ve now bought a Hisense tv to replace it (thankfully where I bought that from they were able to take away the Philips TV to destroy it). Would not recommend anybody to buy any kind of Phillips TV and also I would question buying anything from Phillips in the future. I am on a disability pension so spending just over $1000 on the Philips TV was a loan from my mother which I paid back to her over the first year of having it and that’s $1100 I’ll never get back and now I’ve had to get my mother to again spend just over $1000 on a replacement television which now I’m back having to pay off a second television which is just unacceptable in my opinion for a television that only lasted just over two years before the screen died completely, and it was probably gonna cost more than a new TV to fix if it could be fixed at all. The Hisense television I have now was so easy to set up, and I can access literally everything via the remote. $1100 down the drain and especially because I am a pensioner that’s just not money that I should be losing, on a television I was investing in, after only two years! I feel completely robbed, and I’m not happy at all.
