Evnia 4K UHD gaming monitor

Upgraded to this 4K OLED monitor on January 15, 2026, from Amazon and it was a game-changer! Coming from a 1080p 120Hz setup, I didn't realize what I was missing until a friend showed me the light. As a console gamer, the performance of this monitor is insane. Even after eight months, I still get hyped to play, just to experience the incredible picture. It truly feels like the best and biggest display out there; my 32-inch monitor looks tiny by comparison. The massive screen size gives me a serious edge in shooters like Apex, Fortnite, and ARC - I can spot enemies from a distance before they even see me. I did need a heavy-duty mount for my desk, but it’s worth it. Plus, the built-in OLED care modes that refresh pixels when not in use are a great touch. My only minor gripe is the ambient lighting, which is a bit subtle, but it still gets the job done, especially with the follow lighting mode. This is one of the best purchases fr ps to the review that said it has pixel refresh during a multiplayer game u can change it to refresh automatically when you turn off ur console or pc and it will do it when it is not in use

The color saturation throughout the spectrum is second to none. This is the second large-screen (> 40") 4k Philips monitor I've owned, and I bought this one because I was so pleased with the former VA panel, 4k 42" Philips monitor I bought ~4 years earlier. No dead pixels, ever, and none on my new OLED. OLED simply clobbers the rest in terms of image quality--there's just no comparison that can be made. The color fidelity is more than worth the 3-minute pixel refresh time, and I actually find myself engaging it voluntarily if I miss a session. (Pixel refresh is only mandatory if you go 16 hours without one, which I've never done.) The 120Hz-138Hz refresh rates are child's play at 4k with my AMD 9070 XT. Everything works as advertised, and I have no trouble utilizing any of the features, and the drivers, utilities, and HDR support are excellent. I recommend this monitor without hesitation.

Very pleased with the aesthetics, and quality of the monitor, of course it has a great resolution 4k with a beautiful oled display, great for blacks and whites, and it’s also very thin and clean, I appreciate the monitor and recommend it for anyone willing to pay

Absolutely fantastic picture, absolutely horrific user experience. For example, Instead of doing it's 'Pixel Clean' or 'Pixel Refresh' when the monitor is put in to standby mode or powered down, it does so in unavoidable and non-dismissible intervals, with no warning of when it's about to do it other than a message that pops up for about 10 seconds before it starts that cannot be dismissed or deferred. Middle of an intense multiplayer match? LOL. Here, wait 3-4 minutes with a black screen, and you absolutely cannot dismiss it or get around it. It's absolutely head scratching on what as an otherwise outstanding monitor. The KVM switch is convenient, but I do wish it did better about waking devices from sleep. It won't switch the Keyboard/Mouse input over to the devices so I can hit a button to wake it up - it waits for video input before changing the data input over. Overall, I would NOT buy this monitor again, solely due to the pixel refresh/cleaning issue. Lots of other options on the market.

Some of the issues with this monitor include: - it randomly decides to stop providing power over USB in the middle of the night and some days you wake up to find your laptop completely drained - the "KVM" functionality is a joke, USB fails to switch to the device selected for video input - when one of the computers connected to it is switched off, you can't switch USB input to another - the menu just displays the language options and nothing else - it takes over a minute to switch on, so the screensaver times out and switches it off again ad nauseum - the remote randomly stops working (even with fresh batteries, and the IR led does light up but the monitor is ignoring the signals) - updating the firmware requires finding and downloading (not easy!) a "SmartControl" application that only works on Windows - a bit pointless though as there are never any firmware updates

The Philips 42M2N8900 OLED gaming monitor has been a deeply frustrating experience, falling far short of expectations due to its poorly designed pixel refresh process and lack of clear instructions. One of the most significant issues is the mandatory pixel refresh process, which activates at inconvenient times and renders the monitor completely unusable until it’s completed. The user manual lacks sufficient detail, making it challenging to understand how to handle this process. For instance, when the pixel refresh dialog box appears, the word "Proceed" is displayed in the bottom left corner. However, navigating to it is impossible, leaving users confused about whether they need to click "Proceed" or if the process runs automatically. It’s unclear why the word "Proceed" is even there if it can’t be interacted with. The manual mentions the LED blinking during the refresh, but it doesn’t specify where the LED is located. After some trial and error—and a reflection on my glass tabletop—I discovered that the blinking LED is at the bottom right corner of the monitor. According to the manual, the pixel refresh should take around six minutes, but even after waiting for an hour, the monitor remained stuck in the refresh state. Ultimately, I had to manually turn off the monitor using the red button on the remote control and then turn it back on to regain functionality. This step is not mentioned anywhere in the instructions. If users are required to take such action, it should be explicitly spelled out in the dialog box or the manual. For instance, the dialog box should clearly instruct users to turn the monitor off and on again after six minutes if the refresh doesn’t complete automatically. For a premium product, these oversights are unacceptable. The entire process is convoluted, poorly communicated, and detracts from the overall usability of the monitor. I cannot recommend the Philips 42M2N8900 OLED monitor given the frustration it has caused. Avoid this product at all cost.
