How does the pressure sensor feedback work on my Sonicare?

Published on 31 March 2024
Your Sonicare toothbrush measures the pressure you apply while brushing to protect your gums and teeth. If you apply too much pressure, the handle will change its vibration. The feedback light at the toothbrush base will flash purple or the brush head reminder light will blink until you reduce the pressure.

Resetting the pressure sensor settings

If you are unsatisfied with the pressure sensor settings, it is possible to re-calibrate them. To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. Ensure that the charger is plugged into an outlet. Remove and place the handle on the charger for at least 45 seconds.

  1. Remove your handle from the charger. Repeat this step four additional times.
