PerfectCare Aqua Steam generator iron

PerfectCare Aqua Steam generator iron

5 bar, 220 g steam boost, 2.2 L fixed watertank, Carry lock GC8635/02

Troubleshooting

Dirty water will come out of the soleplate while ironing.

Impurities or chemicals present in the water have deposited in the steam vents and/or on the soleplate, appearing on your clothes, leaving marks and dirty spots.

**Rinse your boiler regularly.**

  1. Press the on/off button to switch off the steam generator and remove the plug from the wall socket.
  2. Let the appliance cool down completely, about 2 hours.
  3. Place the steam generator on a stable table with the EASY DE-CALC knob sticking out beyond the edge of the table or take the steam generator to a sink.
  4. Hold a cup under the EASY DE-CALC knob. Turn the EASY DE-CALC knob anticlockwise and let the water with scale particles flow into the cup.
When water no longer comes out of the steam generator, reinsert the EASY DE-CALC knob. Turn the knob clockwise to fasten it and put the plug back into the socket.
You can now use the steam generator again.

In case you have not rinsed the boiler for a long time, you will need to perform a deep rinse cycle.

  1. Let the appliance cool down completely, about 2 hours.
  2. Remove the water tank.
  3. Tilt the steam generator and remove the EASY DE-CALC knob. Pour 500 ml water (better to use distilled water) into the opening. Reinsert the EASY DE-CALC knob and turn the knob clockwise to fasten it.
  4. Fill up the water tank halfway and slide the water tank back into the steam generator ('click').
  5. Press the on/off button and wait for 5 minutes.
  6. Put a piece of thick cloth on your ironing board. Place your iron on the cloth, press and hold the steam trigger. While pressing the steam trigger, slowly move the iron back and forth across the cloth until no water comes out or when steam comes out. Hot, dirty water (about 100-150 ml) will come out of the soleplate.
  7. Switch off the steam generator and let it cool down for 2 hours.
  8. Remove the EASY DE-CALC knob and let the water flow into a cup. Reinsert the EASY DE-CALC knob and turn the knob clockwise to fasten it.
