Is the flashing light of my Philips Lumea safe for my eyes?

Published on 09 April 2024

Philips Lumea has been built with your safety in mind.

Full skin contact required

Philips Lumea has a built-in feature which prevents it from flashing in the air. This means that the Lumea only flashes when it is in full contact with your skin.

Do not look at the flash while using the device. Use the device in a well-lit room so that the light is less glaring to your eyes.

Should I wear goggles while using Philips Lumea?

While not necessary for safety, you may wear sunglasses or goggles for your convenience if you find the light uncomfortable or too bright.
