2008 marks the 13th year sponsorship anniversary between Philips NZ and the All Blacks, signalling an important relationship between Philips and the nation's favourite sporting team. Since 1996 Philips has been the Philips Series sponsors and a supporter of the All Blacks overseas campaigns as they take on opponents from all corners of the world.

Philips' solid commitment to supporting the All Blacks, is mirrored by its commitment to consistently offer high-quality healthcare, lifestyle and technology products - designed with the end user in mind.

Philips Electronics New Zealand has formed a multi-year partnership with Parents Inc. a not-for-profit organisation whose goal is to “positively impact every family” and more importantly educate teenagers about personal health and well-being through the Attitude in-school education program.

Attitude is the leading provider of health education in New Zealand schools with over 6,500 sessions rolled out to date in 92% of high schools in the country. 

The Attitude program utilises an effective combination of live presentations and handbooks to engage, inspire and educate youth about important issues such as: depression, drug & alcohol use, bullying and sexual health.

As a Key Corporate Partner of the Attitude program Philips is well placed to improve the youth of New Zealand’s knowledge of healthcare and the importance of taking care of their bodies as well as their minds.

Philips New Zealand CEO Meech Aspden believes this partnership will not only be beneficial to the program’s targets, the youth and parents of New Zealand, but also to Philips’ own staff.

Through the partnership Philips will be providing Philips lighting and Consumer Electronics products as well as a Philips HeartStart (defibrillator) for The Parenting Place, this is a lounge designed for parents to join together and receive practical advice about their role in the upbringing of their children and emotional support during times of family difficulty.

Philips employees and their families will also have access to the parenting information free of charge.
